My Favorites...

This is the only time that we love getting dressed up....we love this Christmas party.
We love Grandma and Grandpa Great, and we miss Grandpa more than ever!! We are so glad Grandma still loves to party.

We love to participate in the nativity story....

She didn't move her arms the entire time, very obedient.

Him, on the other hand, what a wild donkey!

Some of my favorite people! Love them!

And what a dang good lookin' family!

Vote for Utahn of the year

My sweet Grandpa George, whom I have mentioned many times on this blog, is up for Utahn of the year. You can vote for George Wahlen at http://www.sltrib.com/ You can see the voting place in a box about half way down the page. It is well deserved and would be a great tribute to him. Thanks for voting!!!!

A True Jedi Party

Whew...we made it through a real Jedi party with eleven first-graders and my other two kids. But, we had a blast! Kamden was so excited and it took a lot of education on my part to learn Star Wars lingo.
That was my cake creation (it is supposed to be a light saber) before it was devoured. And to top it off :Yoda Sodas.

To become a True Jedi, each boy had to find their light saber (treasure hunt) and then learn to use it (oh and they learned, we had an injury after about 30 seconds). They then each had to test their strength and agility through an obstacle course.

Happy Birthday Kam! Hope you had an out of this world time!

Halloween 2009

What a fun Halloween we had this year. This was the first year we spent in our new house. And thus the first time my kids have been trick-or-treating. Not a long of ground was covered, but a lot more fun than a trunk-or-treat (who even came up with that crazy idea anyway). I love that my kids get to choose whatever they want to be for Halloween. I think Kamden might forever be a Star Wars character from here on out.
Cori made a great cheerleader! She had been making up some pretty crazy cheers!

Wyatt knew exactly what he wanted to be! He actually said a "football" but I knew what that meant. He came home with heaps more candy than the other two. I think he played the cute card and scored with the candy.

ABQ is so Cool!!

We are so lucky!! We were able to go visit Jamie and her family in New Mexico. Boy was it a loooong drive, but look at what we saw! This and cousins made this drive well worth it!
Here is my mom, me, and Jamie at the night glow. So awesome! There are no words to describe this. I hope we get to go again next year!

The happy Family!

Here are all the cousins (except Cannon) at El Pinto...a great Mexican restaurant.

And here we are at ABQ Jump. Thanks Jamie and Travis for letting us stay. And good job Riley on getting baptized, you are a great example to my kids!

I Found My Camera!

My camera has been hiding for awhile now. I remember taking it away from Wyatt because he loves to take great pictures of peoples noses and such. I found it hiding in my car as I was packing. And here are the pictures I found on it....
While Kamden was off track, we took a mini vacation to the zoo and to Park City. It had been about a year and a half since we had been. They were so happy to go, it was like their first time all over again.

Here we are hiking at Cascade Springs. Notice the paved path, yes that is our kind of hiking.

Gosh, I love these three! They are so fun and are becoming better friends with each other all the time. Not to say that we never fight, but we sure know how to play hard too.

We have been able to continue with summer fun at our house. Kamden has been off track, so we just keep playing. We had never rode the frontrunner, so here we are going to Salt Lake. Wyatt actually sat still for about five minutes of the ride (that is a record). It might be worth my money to have him sit still.
Thanks Grandma for coming with us...It was so fun!!

Our Hiking Adventure

For Labor Day, we took the kids hiking. They didn't know it could be so much fun. We spent a little bit of time hiking and a lot of time with our feet in the water.

Some Guys Have All the Fun...

For the past two weekends, Tad has been able to take each of our two older kids on an over-nighter. We decided that Kamden is old enough to test the hunting waters. He got to go dove hunting this year. Make next year he can go big game hunting, but this was plenty for the year. He did a lot of four-wheeling and even got to shoot some guns.
They would wear this on any given day if I would let them!

Our stake puts on a daddy-daughter camp-out every year. Cori was sick the day before this, but she was not about to let that stand in the way. Somehow she felt good enough to go camping. Here she is holding a caterpillar.

She was so happy to tell me all about fishing, eating at the Spring Chicken Inn, and sleeping in a tent.

First Day of School

It has been a long wait for Cori to start preschool. Kamden has been going for so long. The day finally came and she loved it!! She wasn't a bit nervous. Notice her friend Carter crying...he was not about to let his mom leave. I know Amber, you are going to love me for that picture!

Cori is so sweet. She is my easy-going, good natured child. She loves to share with others. She loves to have new friends and is so kind to everyone. Sure love ya Cor, I am so proud of you.
