More Summer Fun

This is our favorite rodeo. The Ute Stampede in Nephi. Wyatt's favorite part was not the cowboys, nor was it the bull riders. When the dirt bikers came out for the half time show, you should have seen this kids eyes. There was something burnin in his soul, wanting to try something like that...heaven help us.

Cori is so easy going, she loves everything and is genuinely happy try try new things, or is content just being anywhere.

Bryson was our fourth kid for the weekend.

After camping in Nephi we went up Fairview Canyon. It was so beautiful We hadn't been up there in years. It did rain really hard one night so Tad and I ended up sleeping in the car while our kids slept in Grandma's trailer, but it was an adventure.

It is always fun camping with these two....

And these two....

What silly kids!

Summer Fun

Because we are on year round school, we only had a three week vacation for summer. We knew we had to squeeze in a lot in just a short time. We played so hard. This was our first a two big camping trips. We went to my Uncle Blake's cabin in Sanpete County.

Kamden is slowly learning to drive to four-wheeler on his own. We had him on these things from the time he was just a few months old.

We love our friends and playing with them...this is the parade. We came home with three big bags of candy.

The dinosaur park up Ogden Canyon. We have to make a visit here every year.

Wyatt's Birthday

I know this sounds so cliche, but I can't believe my baby is four! I think because he is my youngest, I have just wanted to freeze time, hold him a bit longer, but this kid will not be held, nor can we freeze any part of him. Wyatt is a goer. The only thing he wanted for his birthday was a skateboard. In fact, he overheard me telling my mom, "Would I be an idiot to get that kid a skateboard?!" To which he replied, "I will call you an idiot, I will mom." Like that was a good thing....Thanks Wyatt.

Wyatt has such an infectious smile. He melts hearts and basically can get what he wants with that smile. (He must get that from me..ha ha)

Wyatt and Grandma Pam.

Kamden and Wyatt at our second celebration at Grandma Connie's house...so spoiled!

Kade's Wedding

Wow has this summer come and gone, and we have been so busy! This catch up is for all you who might still read this (thanks jamie and McCall), but also for my own story. My youngest brother Kade was married in May. We are so lucky that Brooklin joined our family. She is such a beautiful bride!

All the nieces and nephews with Kade and Brooklin...they love both of them

It's funny how at someone elses wedding I still end up with the most pictures of my own family. I guess getting all dressed up calls for some silly family pictures.

These are three of my favorite people in the world. I know each of us aspire to be just like Grandma Melba when we grow up. She is amazing and most importantly we all love to be around her.

And just for fun I threw this picture in because he is so handsome.

Coral Pink Sand Dunes

Last weekend we went camping to the Coral pink Sand Dunes. Pretty crazy just how big this place is. The sand is so pretty.

We hiked up to some dinosaur tracks. Kamden and Wyatt being tough climbing this big rock.

Here is the kids with their cousins. They are a lot older than my kids but you wouldn't have known it. They all got along so well. I think I need to hire some boys to entertain my kids more often. Nathan and McKay were great friends!

This is Us! In all our camping glory!

Tad and Wyatt on our new toy!

Cori and Grandpa Rod in the Razor!

We had such a great time! We can wait to be out there again, camping and four-wheelin'!

Six!

I know I am playing a little catch up here, but I had to document this day. Cori turned six in March.

Here is Cori with her bestie Bailey. These two are two of a kind!

Cori chose to go to the Brick Oven for dinner- good choice Cor!

We splurged and Cori got a DS for her birthday. Only because she is such a good girl (most of the time!)

We even went to lunch, gosh now you all know how spoiled this little girl really is!

In honor of her birthday here are some things you should know about Cori:

  • Cori is the NICEST girl I know. She is concerned about every one's feelings whether she knows you or not. Almost to the point of too nice.

  • Cori loves school. Half day kindergarten is just not long enough for this girl.

  • Cori has the messiest room in our house. I think it is her creativeness.

  • Which leads me to...Cori has to do a "project" everyday. Whether this be making a cell phone out of paper, making her own flash cards, or just gluing garbage to a piece of paper. It is every day!

  • Cori is always up for something new. She loves to ride her bike, ride the four-wheelers, loves camping, shopping, and going anywhere with her mom or dad by herself.

  • Above all else Cori is one happy, fun-loving, outgoing girl who loves to make new friends wherever we go!

A New Room for Cori

Cori has been begging for a "watermelon" room for a real long time. We finally gave in since this week is her birthday, and this whole week is about Cori. I should have taken a before picture, but just picture a blah, yucky light tan color.
There is really high vaulted ceilings in her room, so the green goes really high.

Yesterday when Tad was done, Cori stayed in her room for hours just dancing...

Look What I Just Finished!

Funny how something so fun and so cheap cheers up the whole house! Love it! McCall, mom, and grandma, are you done?

Daddy Daughter Date

Last week we had a very anxious girl....she could not wait to go to the daddy daughter dance at the school. (I secretly think Tad was hoping to go get ice cream.) There was no stopping this girl! She was so proud to leave the house with her date! And the report was that she danced her little heart out! When she got home, with a yellow rose in hand, she said "that was the funnest thing we have ever done!, Right Dad?" Priceless really!

Happy Birthday Grandma

Dear Grandma,
I just wanted to wish you a happy birthday. I know I am catching you right before your big day is over, but I had to join in on the well wishes. I am so lucky to have you as my grandma and as a great grandma to my kids. I love to be with you. You have had such an influence on all our lives. When I grow up I want to be more like you. You truly are an amazing woman!
Love,
Liza

Cruisin' for 10

Last week Tad and I went on a cruise...just the two of us! I still can't believe we did it. We left our kids for five days and totally relaxed. This is us at Catalina Island.
We were on a tour of the island when the bus caught on fire. Such a funny story.... but to sum it up we were on the top of the island for about an hour an a half while the fire department got this bus under control and another bus could pick us up.

Here we are waiting for a ride down the mountain.

Can you see the cruise ship in the background? The best part of the trip was that we pulled out shorts and t-shirts. Although, you wouldn't know it from this picture, I had just put my jacket on. It was 75 degrees the entire time. Sure beats the 20 degree high we came home to.

We didn't stay in Mexico too long, but here is proof we were there.

Oh gosh, these pictures are a little out of order. After the bus caught on fire, we were given a free submarine ride.

We met some really fun people that we ate dinner with every night. And boy did we eat. I won't even mention how many pounds we brought home with us hooked to our butts and hips. So worth it!

We laid out on the decks numerous times each day. We actually got some sun which has since already faded.

And here was our fantastic server Carlos.
We took this trip to celebrate our tenth anniversary and it made me remember why I fell in love with Tad that many years ago. We spent every minute together and yet when he went to work yesterday, I missed him and wish we could be together every minute again soon. Thanks for the trip Tad and thanks to our moms for becoming moms again for the week.
